Are your fees really fixed?
Simply put… yes… unless we are engaged in a one-off project or an area of work we simply cannot agree a fixed fee on from the start. Otherwise our small business accounting packages are always agreed with you up-front and the fixed monthly price is set prior to us undertaking any work so to ensure you are fully aware of all costs and never receive a bill you were not expecting.
Does my package include bookkeeping?
At the core of all packages, we include online accounting software from FreeAgent or Xero. However if you would prefer to free up more of your time and have us handle your bookkeeping and VAT returns for you, then we would need to include this and charge for this within your small business accounting package. All of our services can be added to or retracted from at anytime.
How do you charge for ad-hoc queries?
All of our clients receive our support throughout the year – not just at the year end. Any general ad-hoc query you have is likely to be answered by us without additional fees. However where we believe the additional support or advisory is outside of the standard support provided, we would speak with you and provide a quotation before we complete any work for you or provide any written advisory.
What are your payment terms?
Our small business packages are invoiced monthly to ensure you know exactly what you are paying for and allowing you to spread the cost over 12 months. Invoices are raised on the 1st of each month and our direct debit partner, GoCardless, will collect payment automatically on the 25th.
For project work, our agreed fee is invoiced only at the completion of our work with immediate payment terms… unless we agree an alternative payment structure with you.
Can you help with filings for earlier years?
We get it. Sometimes it juts happens and life gets in the way meaning you need to make accounts and tax filings for earlier periods. We can help you get right back up to date for a one-off fixed fee agreed up-front and then continue to work with you on your current period through a pay-monthly fixed fee package.
Is it easy to switch accountants?
Switching accountants is as easy as 1,2,3. In fact, we can handle the entire process for you. All we ask is that out of courtesy you contact your current accountant and advise them that you have decided to switch to us. We’ll then make all the required information requests and complete our professional clearance in order that we can get started working with you.
